CIUDAD DE MÉXICO 30 DE julio (Almomento.MX).- Aremi Fuentes se adjudicó en los Juegos Panamericanos Lima 2019 la medalla de plata en la modalidad de 76 kilogramos de levantamiento de pesas, a pesar de ello, hace unos meses fue víctima de discriminación por parte de la Federación Mexicana de Levantamiento de Pesas, A.C.
El pasado abril, Rosalio Antonio Alvarado del Ángel, presidente de la Federación Mexicana de Levantamiento de Pesas, A.C., excluyó a Aremi del Campeonato Panamericano Mayor de Levantamiento de Pesas, mismo que se efectuó en Guatemala del 23 al 17 del citado mes.
La asociación de levantamiento de pesas justificó su decisión exponiendo que la atleta lucia “gorda”. Cabe recalcar que Fuentes había logrado su boleto para el torneo de la disciplina.
Ahora la deportista mexicana está en busca de su clasificación a los Juegos Olímpicos Tokio 2020.
